Course Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Teaching of English as a Second Language -TESL) program is aimed to provide students with a broad range of academic and technical abilities. The curriculum combines rigorous instruction in English teaching strategies and practice with educational analytical technologies. It provides pupils a variety of abilities that are useful in government schools, private schools, and foreign educational institutions. The program is meant to be a transforming experience for students, providing them with the education, training, and first-hand experience required for successful worldwide jobs. With the development of systematic understanding, decision-making, and communication skills, the curriculum prepares students for present and future leadership roles.

Course Aim

Employers in a range of industries value the Bachelor of Education (Teaching of English as a Second Language -TESL) degree. It equips students with a deep understanding and competence that is useful to the industry and advantageous to the graduate, providing them with a full grasp of Education.

  1. Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in 2 subjects; or
  2. Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) (Jayyid rank).
    STAM students who do not take or pass the Arabic in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent may be considered for a Bachelor of Arabic degree; or
    Pass in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 5 subjects; or
  3. Pass in Matriculation/ Foundation/ Foundation from any IPTA/ IPTS/ Institutions allowing foundation programs with a CGPA of 2.00; or
  4. Diploma with at least CGPA 2.00; or
  5. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia

Students who pursue a Bachelor of Education degree are prepared to teach in a number of educational settings. Graduates frequently obtain their professional teaching credential from the Ministry of Education in their respective nations, which allows them to teach in any school environment, including public and independent schools.
