Course Overview

The Bachelor of Psychology degree provides the fundamental information and abilities needed to comprehend individual and group behavior, as well as the ability to impact how educators, policymakers, and community surveyors approach mental health and the workings of the human mind. Students integrate and combine a broad education in fundamental areas, such as the development of a knowledge of social, cognitive, biological, and pathological psychology in persons. The curriculum explains the connections between the brain and behavior, as well as the systems that govern speech, memory creation and retention, and response to stress.

Course Aim

The Bachelor of Psychology program’s goals are to provide students with a firm foundation in key psychological concepts as well as exposure to a wide range of issues in basic and applied psychology.
To assist students in developing research and communication abilities, as well as gaining a solid understanding of psychology as a discipline.
To encourage students to think critically in order to solve current concerns in education, work, health care, and everyday life.
To provide a strong foundation in current psychology as well as a wide range of abilities to equip students for a variety of occupations involving human behavior and experiences.
To give a grasp of human resource management and personal development for other services, as well as the capacity to operate autonomously.

  1. Pass in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with at least in 2 subjects (NGMP 2.0) and obtain at least credit in Mathematics and Science and pass in English at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia SPM level); or
  2. Pass in Matriculation/ Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and obtain at least credit in Mathematics and Science and pass in English at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia SPM level); or
  3. Pass in Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in psychology with at least CGPA 2.00; or
  4. Pass in Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in any field or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and obtain at least credit in Mathematics and Science as well as pass in English at SPM level; or
  5. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
