Course Overview

The Master of Business Administration in Insurance program is meant to teach students how to identify, measure, and manage company risk using a variety of methodologies. Students in these programs focus particularly on contemporary legal, financial, and ethical concerns that insurance professionals face. It is aimed at students with professional experience and ambition who want to work in insurance businesses and organizations as leaders. The proposed program’s results, if realized, would undoubtedly contribute greatly to a societal viewpoint and responsibility for enhanced insurance and management quality. The Master of Business Administration in Insurance curriculum introduces students to knowledge and skills in areas relevant to insurance management, including “business Economics,” “business accounting and finance,” “marketing management,” “insurance and risk management,” and “mutual funds and portfolio management.”

Course Aim

The following are the objectives of this program:

To teach students strong writing and spoken communication abilities, as well as their applications in the workplace.
To get a better understanding of the purpose and design of various insurance products, as well as how they are delivered.
To describe the fundamental quantitative abilities required in actuarial analysis, as well as how to run an insurance firm in a local, global, and multi-cultural setting.
To provide students with a solid foundation in business basics, the global environment, and the analytical skills needed for rational decision-making in the insurance sector.
To give students with an understanding of insurance businesses’ social, ethical, and legal responsibilities, as well as essential theoretical ideas and practical applications in insurance management.

1- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as recognized by the Senate of Lincoln University College; or

 

2- A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent but does not achieve a CGPA of 2.50, may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field; or

 

3- Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
